There were a lot of flies in our neighborhood. Swarms of winged insects were flying between the gray ship-houses in search of prey. And while the unsuspecting victims were talking in low voices in tiny kitchens, flies secretly entered their dwellings through air vents and open windows.

Sitting on the skin of urban residents, the winged ones sucked out everything necessary for their lives, leaving small wounds filled with future offspring. The wounds grew and turned into huge open sores, bleeding and rotting, teeming with small larvae.
